Soy Artista Series: Zeké Martinez, print-maker at HSU

For the second video of our Soy Artista Series, check out Zeké Martinez, 22, a student artist and print-maker at Humboldt State University. Martinez was born in Washington and grew up in Bakersfield, California. Martinez is getting a bachelor in fine arts with an emphasis in printmaking. Since it is a new program at HSU, he said he will be the first to receive this degree. He is also a paid teaching assistant that helps students in all printmaking classes. Printmaking has many styles, in this video he works on a mono type screen print to add another layer to his prints.
